PHOENICIA LUXURY CAMPING MASTER PLANNING

This 45 acre project is a re-imagining of a pre-existing campground along the Esopus Creek. As the land sits low to the river’s edge, it is also frequently flooded.

The 80 private tent-sites will be built to rise above the base flood elevation and provide a model for flood-resiliency design strategies throughout the Catskill Region. The remaining dry-zones of the land provide a wide range of ecological immersion opportunities for guests, including water loving forests, rocky beaches and outcroppings, and permaculture-based local food-production.
