SECK HOMESTEAD
The Seck Homestead serves two purposes; as the hometown retirement estate for a local High School Chemistry teacher who came to the United States from Senegal; and as a guest house for visitors to the farm which surrounds the home. The family is currently developing the agricultural aspects of the property in preparation for work as a model for other villages in Senegal looking to bring back food production to rural areas.
The home is a combination of the owner’s experience living in United States for 40 years and his first 20 years in Senegal, combining the aspects of each culture in the utilitarian and formal spaces.
